LITTLE WHITE DOG ANIMAL CARE AND DOG WALKING SERVICES
LITTLE WHITE DOG ANIMAL CARE AND DOG WALKING SERVICES
Here at Little White Dog, based near Chiddingly in East Sussex, I offer a friendly and reliable animal care and dog walking service to suit yours and your pets needs. Whether you are at work all day, going on holiday, have a busy schedule or have an injury or illness, I am here to help and will ensure that they receive the highest quality of care.
My services include dog walking, home visits/let outs, a pet taxi service, stable and field duties, microchipping and nail clipping. The areas I cover are Hailsham, Ringmer, Lewes, Uckfield, Heathfield and surrounding villages. I offer a free 'meet and greet' consultation where we will discuss yours and your pets requirements.
Having my own animals I understand how important it is finding someone to care for your pets in the same way that you do. Therefore I assure you that i will care for them as if they were my own. Their happiness, health and comfort will always be my only priority and i strive to provide a service that i would want my own pets to receive.
Giving your dog the exercise it requires helps provide mental and physical stimulation to help keep them happy and healthy. Having had a free 'meet & greet' to discuss your requirements I can collect your dog/s from your home or place of work and exercise them at various, exciting destinations. Our walks can be solo or in small groups and can be on or off the lead for either half an hour or an hour. On wet days your dog/s will be towel dried and cleaned as best as possible and in the summer months cool mats and common sense will be used. Clean, fresh water will always be available. Your dogs health and happiness is my top priority.
If you have an elderly dog or puppy, they may just need letting out for a little while. These visits can be down to your personal requirements but would generally last for 30 minutes and can include a short 10 minute walk, a play in the garden, check and top up their food and water, administer any medication and clean up any accidents they may of had. This could be a one off or on a regular basis and I can incorporate any other small pets you may have.
I can also care for your smaller pets such as cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, poultry, reptiles etc. These visits can include the cleaning of hutches, cages and litter trays, make sure they have plenty of fresh food and water and administer medication if required. I am happy to pick up your post, pull curtains and water plants if you are away. Again these visits can vary in length but would generally be for 30 minutes unless discussed otherwise.
If you are unable to drive or are at work and need to get your pet to the vet or groomers I can offer a taxi service. If you are unable to attend the vet yourself I can offer representation and will remain with your pet. I can keep in contact with you regarding treatment and provide a full report and instructions issued by your vet upon return. The welfare and comfort of your pet will be my priority. Small pet owners must provide a secure pet carrier.
Having had many years of experience with horses and other large animals, I can offer stable/yard duties such as mucking out, feeding and topping up haynets and water etc. I can bring in or let out your horses, change rugs and poop pick your fields. I also offer a clipping service. Whether you are away on holiday, at an event for the day or just need a bit of extra help, I can cater to your needs.
Have both of these done in the comfort of your own home. Cheaper, easier and less stressfull than a trip to the vet. I attended my microchipping course in 2001 at The College of Animal Welfare, Huntingdon and can chip dogs and cats using Pet ID microchips. This is a legal requirement for all dogs and can be done from around 7 weeks old. I also have many years experience of cutting nails having owned my own dogs for 30 years and through working in kennels and at a veterinary practice.
Hi, Little White Dog is run by myself Caroline and is named in memory of a much loved little Jack Russell Terrier called 'Todd'. I am married with two grown up children and have been passionate about animals from a very young age. My first love was horses and I was lucky enough to spend time on my Grandads farm who's neighbour kindly let me be lead around the orchards on her riding school ponies from the age of 3. I continued to have lessons at home and had a pony on loan when i was 9 years old. At 11, I finally talked my parents in to letting me own my own pony. He wasn't the best or most suited pony but he taught me a lot and I spent most of my spare time with him. I enjoyed going to local shows and took part in show jumping, gymkhanas and hunter trials. I was a member of the pony club for many years and did camps, tetrathlon's and mounted games events. My next love was dogs. I was never allowed one as a child as my parents were cat lovers but i use to offer to walk other peoples and I've definitely made up for lost time since! Other pets I had as a child where cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, gerbils and budgies. My Dad was a farm manager for a while so I spent time helping out on the farm and in the summer months I would fruit pick to earn a few pennies, which I would spend on my pony. As soon as I left home, myself and my partner got our first dogs. The first one, a Cross Breed from the RSPCA and then shortly afterwards, a greyhound who was in a bit of a sorry state. Since then I have owned several breeds including Lurchers, Border/Beared Collies, a Bull Mastiff, Terriers, German Shepherds and a Malinois, two of which were retired ex military service dogs. In more recent years other pets have included Horses, Ponies, a rescue Tawny Owl, Rats, Chickens and a Bearded Dragon. My experience working with animals consists of working at a veterinary practice, kennel work, microchipping, groom work and as an animal steward providing pet therapy to the elderly and young adults with disabilities. I love the outdoors and enjoy walking my dogs and have competed in Agility and Fly Ball. I am insured, have a current DBS, a clean driving licence, a microchipping certificate and references. Having my own animals I understand how important it is finding some one to care for your pets in the same way that you do. Therefore I assure you that I will care for them as if they were my own. Their happiness, health and comfort will always be my only priority and I will strive to provide a service that I would want my own pets to receive.
